From Vision to Reality: The Story of Beehive Care & Training Group

Embarking on a dream in 2023, Chelsea and Alexandra crossed paths while working together and as they got to know each other, they discovered their complementary skills and realised they were a perfect match to create Beehive Care & Training Group.

With over 55 years of combined experience in the care and training sector, the team brings a wealth of expertise alongside a genuine passion for helping people grow. Their training goes beyond simply meeting compliance requirements, focusing instead on developing confident, capable teams who deliver the highest standards of care.

Each programme is shaped through a holistic framework and rooted in proven adult learning methods — from experiential learning (learning through practice) to transformative approaches (challenging perspectives and building resilience), as well as self-directed methods (encouraging independence and ownership in learning).

This blend ensures training is accessible, engaging, and directly relevant to both staff and organisational goals. By building on individual strengths and making learning practical and meaningful, the team helps businesses strengthen their workforce, improve outcomes, and support communities to thrive

Beehive Training takes great pride in offering comprehensive training programs in the healthcare sector. From mandatory and statutory courses for care staff to Care Certificate assessments, we equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles and make a positive impact on our community.

Our training portfolio extends beyond the care sector to cover vital areas such as First Aid and Manual Handling across all sectors. We also offer specialised training in Customer Care, Team Leader Skills and Mental Health First Aid, recognising the importance of holistic support in today's modern business environment.

We are incredibly proud to provide an outstanding service tailored to the unique needs of our local rural community, and we are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we care for.

Chelsea Bee

I’m Chelsea Bee, Managing Director of Beehive Care & Training Group Ltd, and I’ve dedicated my career to empowering people through high-quality training and genuine support.

My background spans recruitment, care, and welfare-to-work, where I’ve helped individuals, including those with health conditions or disabilities, rebuild confidence and move back into meaningful employment.

Through my experience supporting people via programmes such as Access to Work, I’ve seen firsthand how the right opportunities and encouragement can transform lives. This passion for inclusion and empowerment continues to shape everything we do at Beehive Training.

I also worked on the Care Ambassador project with Skills for Care, enhancing recruitment and retention across the South West. Today, I’m proud to lead Beehive Training with the same mission that’s driven me from the start — helping people grow, achieve, and thrive through learning and opportunity.

Sian Hawkins

One of the Operational Administrators here at Beehive Care & Training. Sians journey in Health & Social Care began at 18 as a community care worker—a role proudly held for nearly a decade while raising her young family. Sian later became a Mental Health Intervention Worker, supporting individuals as they transitioned from institutional care into independent living. It was a demanding role, but it gave Sian invaluable insight into the operational side of care and the importance of tailored support.

More recently, Sian worked in employability services, helping vulnerable adults re-enter the workforce after long periods of unemployment. These experiences have shaped her approach and equipped her with the skills to support individuals through their recruitment and training journey. Sian especially loves working alongside Chelsea to help carers grow and thrive in such a vital sector. Seeing people flourish in their roles is what motivates her every single day.

Outside of work, Sian is a busy mum of four and a proud rugby WAG on the weekends.

"My favourite way to unwind is with a good book, a cup of tea, and my comfiest pyjamas—you'll find me doing this whenever I get a moment!" ~ Sian
